I'll stamp all over 'legitimate combatant' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-round contest which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.

Briton Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the combatants came face-to-face to promote next month's heavyweight fight.

Former twice unified title holder Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge disparity - at Miami's venue on 19 December.

Fighter's Mindset

"I will damage his features and damage his physique. My goal is to show I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I intend to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."

Civil Exchange

Despite such comments, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically famous for his showmanship - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.

Jake Paul instead targeted former Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "not serious" after Ngannou rejected a match opportunity.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, criticized British rival Tyson Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua stated.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Fighter

In spite of declaring he will damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his rival's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he remarked.

Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.

He lost to Briton Fury in 2023.

Financial Attraction

Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter is still one of boxing's greatest financial successes, regularly earning massive financial rewards.

Forecast and Belief

The 28-year-old predicted a stoppage in round four or five and stated he would stop the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly under discussion for two years from now.

"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul declared.

Physical Difference

As both boxers participated in the customary stare-down, with their physical disparity evident, it drove home just how unlikely this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the match is really proceeding.
